Charlotte Mallory

I came to the Sunshine Coast 18 years ago to be the Director of Action: Alcohol and Drug Counseling Society where I worked until I retired June 2003.  At that point I continued to work as a carf surveyor of addiction, mental health and family service agencies for another 18 months. From there I moved onto the Employment Centre for 2 1/2 years.  I have served on the board of Arrowhead.  I remain very involved politically in my community with my focus on homelessness.

David Thompson
David Thomson has vacationed on the Sunshine Coast since the early 70's.  After a 30 year teaching career in Ottawa, he moved to West Sechelt in 2005.  He has two adult children who live in Ottawa.

David has been a director since November 2009.  He volunteered because he was motivated to be involved in the community and help ensure that our neighbourhood is the best it can be.

Paddy Blenkinsop
Paddy has lived in West Sechelt since 2006, moving here from Ontario with his wife, Rosemarie.  He keeps busy by hiking, gardening, woodworking, reading and singing with the Suncoast Singers.  His particular interest in joining the WSCA is his concern about maintaining public access to parks, rights of way and beach access.

Gail Riddell

Gail Riddell has lived in W. Sechelt for almost ten years, having fled the big city after taking early retirement. A main focus of her life (besides her new husband, Ian) is environmental issues - she served for two years on the board of the Sierra Club of BC, and four years on the Sunshine Coast Conservation Association board. She has also been active at CapU, with University Women's, and is a long-time board member of West Sechelt Community Assn. Gail and Ian travel often, spend many weeks each summer at their isolated cabin up the coast, and are keen dragon boaters during the spring/summer months. Between them, they have five grown children and one grandchild, most of whom live in BC. Gail believes that West Sechelt is a unique geographical setting and community, and works to ensure that appropriate planning is undertaken by the municipality and developers.
Donna Perry
